A journalist with 36 years of experience in Print, Broadcast and Electronic media in various regional, national and international journalistic forums. Apart from The Hindu group of publications, he has been professionally associated with a number of media institutions in the over three decade long career. These include the Kolkata based English daily The Telegraph, the BBC, the Delhi based audio-visual production house Third Eye TV ,the Deshabhimani group of Malayalam publications and the Kerala based Indiavision News Television channel. Right from his early days as a media professional he has explored the different ways in which governance impacts lay society and core livelihood concerns , especially in areas like public health ,social justice and environment . These concerns have repeatedly found forceful expression in his journalism. His association with with a number of NGOs such as the Schumacher Centre in Delhi, focusing on social advocacy in diverse segments , Saksham Kids in NOIDA, Uttar Pradesh, imparting informal education to the marginalized and the Mehac Foundation, which provides free mental health care to the poorer sections of society is also a result of these abiding concerns .
